Let's break it down…
Why the Short rack?- At 9 inches tall, you can increase your storage without increasing overall vehicle height. This makes it easy to accommodate various cargo that is less than 12-1/2 inches tall, and remain below the roofline. In turn, you can slide cargo into your bed that is 24-1/2 inches tall and still fit underneath the rack crossbars.
The strong, sturdy upright bases have a commonly used bolt hole pattern to provide endless gear mount possibilities.
The rack crossbars are made of 5052 corrosion-resistant aluminum to cut down on weight, yet strong enough to still haul tents, bikes, cargo baskets, coolers, or totes.
Weight rating is 750lbs Static (not moving) and 450lbs Dynamic (cruising down the road or trail)
DON'T FORGET TO PICK YOUR SIDES
Upright only-(No Sides) allows you to set your rack crossbar span along the bedrail to whatever you choose
3/4 Length- These aluminum panels enclose the sides, provide added mounting locations for gear, and still allows for 16 inches of unobstructed bedrail. This length puts you at 29 inches center to center at the rack crossbars.
Full Length- from the back of the cab, clear to the tailgate, the full-length aluminum side panels allow the maximum mounting options. This puts you at 45 inches center to center at the rack crossbars.
Remember you are not stuck with this decision forever, you can purchase our length or height conversion at any time!

Why the Tall Boy?- At 19 inches tall (10 more than the short rack) getting your gear elevated couldn't be easier. Whether it's for better airflow through your tent on those hot August nights, hauling your kayaks or canoes to the lake, or the bringing a 20 foot 2x6 back to the house, this rack will do it all. With more than double the side panel storage the bolt-on accessory choices are unlimited.
With 34-1/2 inches of space under the tall rack, you will have all the room to store your overlanding and camping gear.

PICKING YOUR SIDE MATERIAL
None - Needs to be selected if all you want Uprights only.
Aluminum side panels- They are aluminum, and they bolt to the sides… The Tall Boy rack comes with 2 panels per side that can all be used at once to close off the sides, or used 1 per side to leave some side access to the truck bed.
Steel Side panels- Like a Black Angus these panels have all the beef. If wanting to add heavy accessories to your side panels this is the choice for you. No need to worry if that heavy jack or those multiple fuel jugs are gonna bend these panels. They also offer easier access into the bed from the sides. Can be used in conjunction with the upper sections of aluminum side panels to have the best of both worlds.
